Comunicación 1 - 18 horas (Bibliografía: SPR Winton, Nivel 1 y Primera parte del libro “Pensar y aprender 1”. Editorial Los Mayas, Montreal)

 Objectives: by the end of the level "Comunicación 1", students should be able to understand and respond to short utterances, commands and questions using the present tense. Students will be expected to actively participate in class activities. Please note that in order to achieve success, practice and reinforcement are essential.

 Contenidos =  Contents 

• Pronunciación. Vocales. El alfabeto = Pronunciation. Vowels. Alphabet.

• Números. Colores = Numbers. Colors.

• Saludos, información personal, (apellido, domicilio, teléfono, etc.) = Greetings, personal information (last name, address, phone, etc).

• Singular y plural = Singular and plural.

• Femenino y masculino. Concordancia = Feminine and masculine. Concordance.

• Vocabularios: días, meses, hora, el tiempo, aeropuerto, familia, verduras, frutas, comida, restaurante, ropa, en la oficina  = Vocabularies: days, months, the time, the airport, the family, vegetables, fruits, meals, the clothes, the office.

• Verbos "haber" y “tener” = There is / are and to have.

• Verbos “Ser y estar” =  Verb to be (different uses and expressions).

• Preguntas usando: dónde, qué, cómo, cuándo, cuánto, cuál, por qué = Questions usings: where, what, how, when, how much, which, why.

• Tiempo presente de verbos regulares e irregulares = Conjugation of regular and irregular verbs in the Present Indicative.

• Verbo gustar = To like- Me/ Te gusta(n) = I like it/them.

• Adjetivos posesivos: Mi/s, tu/s, su/s, nuestro/s, nuestra/s  =  Possessive adjectives: My, your, his, her, our.

• Preposiciones de lugar: sobre, de(bajo) de, en, a =  Prepositions of place: on, under, in, to.

• Adverbios: nunca, siempre, a veces, con frecuencia, etc. =  Adverbs: never, always, sometimes, frequently, etc.

• Instrucciones en la calle. Expresiones frecuentes: a la derecha, a la izquierda =  Directions in the street . Everyday expressions; on the right-hand side, on the left-hand side.

• Actividades comunicativas = Conversational Spanish.

 Comunicación 2 - 18 horas (Segunda parte del libro “Pensar y Aprender 1”).

 Objectives: By the end of the level "Comunicación 2", students will be able to have a better command of the Spanish  language, communicating in present, past and future.

 Contenidos = Contents

• Revisión del nivel 1 =  Level 1 review.

• Pronunciación en contexto = Pronunciation in context.

• Vocabularios: La calle, negocios, departamentos en las grandes tiendas = Vocabularies: the street, shops,  departments in the malls.

• Expresiones diarias: ¡Qué lindo! ¡Qué suerte! = Everyday expressions: How nice! How lucky!

• Verbos reflexivos: Me despierto, me levanto, me peino, etc. = Reflexive constructions: I wake up, I get up, I comb, etc.

• Pronombres objeto directo e indirecto: me, te, lo, los = Direct and indirect object pronouns: me, you, him, them.

• Comprensión de lecturas simples = Reading comprehension. Basic level.

• Diálogos de situaciones reales =  Real situation dialogues.

• Adjetivos de uso diario: sinónimos y antónimos = Everyday adjectives: synonyms and antonyms.

• Gerundio: Estoy comiendo = Gerund: I’m eating.

• Tiempo Futuro: Estaré en Toronto mañana =  Future Tense: Tomorrow  I’ll be in Toronto.

• Adverbios: probablemente, normalmente, etc. = Adverbs: probably, normally, etc.

• Pasado simple. Verbos regulares e irregulares. Preterit of regular and irregular verbs.

• Conjunciones: y, o, ni =  Conjunctions: and, or, neither.

• Interjecciones: ¡Hola!, ¡Cuidado! = Interjections: Hello!, Be careful!

• Uso de por y para  =  Uses of for.

• Expresiones de uso diario =  Everyday expressions.

• Lenguaje directo y simplificado =  Direct and simplify language.

• Imperativo: Pasa, por favor. Siéntate =  Imperative Mood: Come in, please. Sit down.
